Terms and Conditions

1.Each question will be in Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format and will have only one correct answer / प्रत्येक प्रश्न बहुविकल्पीय प्रश्न (MCQ) प्रारूप में होगा तथा उसका केवल एक सही उत्तर होगा।

2.The selection of winners shall be conducted through a system-generated automated randomization process to ensure fairness and transparency. All participants securing the highest score and submitting their responses within the prescribed time limit shall be included in a centralized pool of eligible entries. Winners shall be selected solely through the automated randomization process. / निष्पक्षता एवं पारदर्शिता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए विजेताओं का चयन सिस्टम-जनरेटेड स्वचालित रैंडमाइजेशन प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से किया जाएगा। निर्धारित समय-सीमा के भीतर सर्वाधिक अंक प्राप्त करने वाले सभी प्रतिभागियों को पात्र प्रविष्टियों के एक केंद्रीकृत समूह में शामिल किया जाएगा। विजेताओं का चयन केवल स्वचालित रैंडमाइजेशन प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से किया जाएगा।

3.There will be no negative marking / गलत उत्तर के लिए कोई नकारात्मक अंकन नहीं होगा।

4.The Quiz will start as soon as the participant clicks on the “Play Quiz” button. After responding to a question, the participant shall click on the “Next” button to proceed to the next question / जैसे ही प्रतिभागी “Play Quiz” बटन पर क्लिक करेगा, प्रश्नोत्तरी शुरू हो जाएगी। किसी प्रश्न का उत्तर देने के बाद अगले प्रश्न पर जाने के लिए प्रतिभागी “Next” बटन पर क्लिक करेगा।

5.The Quiz will be conducted in English and Hindi on the MyGov portal / प्रश्नोत्तरी MyGov पोर्टल पर अंग्रेजी और हिंदी में आयोजित की जाएगी।

6.Participants will have the opportunity to attempt the Quiz from 9:00 AM on 10th October 2026 to 9:00 PM on 17th October 2026 on the MyGov portal / प्रतिभागियों को MyGov पोर्टल पर 10 अक्टूबर 2026 को प्रातः 9:00 बजे से 17 अक्टूबर 2026 को सायं 9:00 बजे तक प्रश्नोत्तरी में भाग लेने का अवसर मिलेगा।

7.All participants  will receive an e-Certificate of Participation. / प्रश्नोत्तरी में भाग लेने वाले सभी प्रतिभागियों को सहभागिता का ई-प्रमाणपत्र प्रदान किया जाएगा।

8.This Quiz is open to all citizens of India. Participants shall access and participate in the Quiz through the MyGov portal / यह प्रश्नोत्तरी भारत के सभी नागरिकों के लिए खुली है। प्रतिभागी MyGov पोर्टल के माध्यम से प्रश्नोत्तरी में भाग लेंगे।

9.Quiz will cover general questions related to BIS and Standards Watch, including questions related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) / प्रश्नोत्तरी में BIS से संबंधित सामान्य प्रश्न तथा Standards Watch पर आधारित प्रश्न शामिल होंगे, जिनमें सतत विकास लक्ष्यों (SDGs) से संबंधित प्रश्न भी सम्मिलित होंगे।

11.Only one entry/attempt per participant is allowed. Multiple entries/attempts from the same participant will not be accepted and will lead to disqualification. Only one option per question will be accepted / प्रत्येक प्रतिभागी को केवल एक प्रविष्टि/प्रयास की अनुमति होगी। एक ही प्रतिभागी द्वारा एक से अधिक प्रविष्टियाँ/प्रयास स्वीकार नहीं किए जाएंगे तथा ऐसी स्थिति में प्रतिभागी को अयोग्य घोषित कर दिया जाएगा। प्रत्येक प्रश्न के लिए केवल एक विकल्प स्वीकार किया जाएगा।

12.Each participant will be required to answer a maximum of 15 questions within the prescribed time limit of 300 sec. The Quiz shall automatically end on expiry of the prescribed time / प्रत्येक प्रतिभागी को निर्धारित 300 सेकंड की समय-सीमा के भीतर अधिकतम 15 प्रश्नों के उत्तर देने होंगे। निर्धारित समय समाप्त होने पर प्रश्नोत्तरी स्वतः समाप्त हो जाएगी।

13.In case of any discrepancy, ambiguity or dispute arising from translation of the Quiz questions or Terms and Conditions, the English version shall be treated as final / प्रश्नोत्तरी के प्रश्नों अथवा नियम एवं शर्तों के अनुवाद में किसी विसंगति, अस्पष्टता अथवा विवाद की स्थिति में अंग्रेजी संस्करण को अंतिम माना जाएगा।

14.Submission of accurate and complete personal details is essential for processing the results. Shortlisted/selected winners shall be required to submit valid documents, including proof of identity, address and bank details, within the prescribed time. Failure to submit the required documents/details within the stipulated period may lead to disqualification / परिणामों की प्रक्रिया के लिए सही एवं पूर्ण व्यक्तिगत विवरण प्रस्तुत करना आवश्यक है। चयनित/संभावित विजेताओं को निर्धारित समय के भीतर पहचान प्रमाण, पते का प्रमाण तथा बैंक विवरण सहित आवश्यक वैध दस्तावेज प्रस्तुत करने होंगे। निर्धारित अवधि के भीतर आवश्यक दस्तावेज/विवरण प्रस्तुत न करने पर प्रतिभागी को अयोग्य घोषित किया जा सकता है।

15.BIS and MyGov reserve the right to use the details submitted by participants for purposes connected with administration of the Quiz, processing/declaration of results, award of prizes/certificates and acknowledgement of participants’ achievements, in accordance with applicable provisions / BIS तथा MyGov लागू प्रावधानों के अनुसार प्रश्नोत्तरी के प्रशासन, परिणामों की प्रक्रिया/घोषणा, पुरस्कार/प्रमाणपत्र प्रदान करने तथा प्रतिभागियों की उपलब्धियों को मान्यता देने से संबंधित प्रयोजनों के लिए प्रतिभागियों द्वारा प्रस्तुत विवरण का उपयोग करने का अधिकार सुरक्षित रखते हैं।

16.Discovery or detection of any unfair means, malpractice, impersonation, multiple participation or any other fraudulent activity in connection with the Quiz shall result in immediate disqualification and rejection of the concerned entry. BIS and MyGov reserve the right to take appropriate action in such cases / प्रश्नोत्तरी के संबंध में किसी अनुचित साधन, कदाचार, प्रतिरूपण, एक से अधिक बार भागीदारी अथवा किसी अन्य धोखाधड़ीपूर्ण गतिविधि के पाए जाने पर संबंधित प्रतिभागी को तत्काल अयोग्य घोषित कर उसकी प्रविष्टि अस्वीकार कर दी जाएगी। ऐसे मामलों में BIS तथा MyGov उचित कार्रवाई करने का अधिकार सुरक्षित रखते हैं।

17.Employees of BIS and MyGov, including their immediate family members, shall not be eligible to participate / BIS तथा MyGov के कर्मचारी एवं उनके निकटतम परिवार के सदस्य इसमें भाग लेने के पात्र नहीं होंगे।

18.BIS and MyGov shall not be responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete or not successfully transmitted/submitted due to technical issues, computer errors, network/internet failure or any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the organizers. Proof of submission of an entry shall not, by itself, be treated as proof of its successful receipt / तकनीकी समस्याओं, कंप्यूटर त्रुटियों, नेटवर्क/इंटरनेट विफलता अथवा आयोजकों के युक्तिसंगत नियंत्रण से परे किसी अन्य परिस्थिति के कारण खो जाने वाली, विलंबित, अपूर्ण अथवा सफलतापूर्वक प्रेषित/जमा न हो पाने वाली प्रविष्टियों के लिए BIS तथा MyGov जिम्मेदार नहीं होंगे। किसी प्रविष्टि को प्रस्तुत किए जाने का प्रमाण मात्र उसके सफलतापूर्वक प्राप्त होने का प्रमाण नहीं माना जाएगा।

19.In the event of unforeseen circumstances or for administrative/technical reasons, BIS and MyGov reserve the right to amend or modify these Terms and Conditions or to postpone, suspend or cancel the Quiz, as considered necessary / अप्रत्याशित परिस्थितियों अथवा प्रशासनिक/तकनीकी कारणों से BIS तथा MyGov आवश्यकतानुसार इन नियम एवं शर्तों में संशोधन/परिवर्तन करने अथवा प्रश्नोत्तरी को स्थगित, निलंबित या निरस्त करने का अधिकार सुरक्षित रखते हैं।

20.By participating in the Quiz, participants agree to abide by all the Terms and Conditions of the Quiz, including any amendments or updates issued by BIS and/or MyGov from time to time / प्रश्नोत्तरी में भाग लेकर प्रतिभागी प्रश्नोत्तरी के सभी नियम एवं शर्तों तथा BIS और/अथवा MyGov द्वारा समय-समय पर जारी किए गए किसी भी संशोधन अथवा अपडेट का पालन करने के लिए सहमत होंगे।

21.In case of any dispute or matter relating to the conduct, evaluation, results or administration of the Quiz, the decision of BIS and MyGov shall be final and binding, and no further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained / प्रश्नोत्तरी के संचालन, मूल्यांकन, परिणाम अथवा प्रशासन से संबंधित किसी विवाद या मामले में BIS तथा MyGov का निर्णय अंतिम एवं बाध्यकारी होगा तथा इस संबंध में किसी अन्य पत्राचार पर विचार नहीं किया जाएगा।

22.These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the applicable laws of India. Any dispute or legal proceeding arising out of or in connection with the Quiz shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at Delhi / ये नियम एवं शर्तें भारत के लागू कानूनों द्वारा शासित होंगी। प्रश्नोत्तरी से उत्पन्न अथवा उससे संबंधित किसी भी विवाद या कानूनी कार्यवाही के लिए दिल्ली स्थित सक्षम न्यायालयों का क्षेत्राधिकार होगा।
