The Urja Shakti Quiz 2026 – Powering India’s Sustainable Future is being organised by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India in collaboration with MyGov, as part of the Independence Day Celebrations (IDC)–2026. The quiz aims to enhance public awareness about India’s achievements, policies, and initiatives in the field of renewable energy and its contribution to nation-building, energy security, environmental sustainability, and the vision of Viksit Bharat. Participants will have an opportunity to test their knowledge on solar, wind, bioenergy, green hydrogen, small hydro, and other key renewable energy initiatives of the Government of India.
Gratification:
The top 5 winners shall be invited to attend the Independence Day Celebration program.
1. Quiz is open for all Indian Citizens.
2. Quiz will start as soon as the participant clicks on the ‘Play Quiz’.
3. Multiple entries from the same participant will not be accepted.
4. This is a timed quiz with 10 questions to be answered in 300 seconds. There will be no negative marking.
5. The questions will be randomly picked from the question bank through an automated process.
6. The winner selection process is fully system-driven and conducted digitally. Participants are ranked based on their scores, with those achieving the highest marks in the shortest time being selected as winners. In cases where multiple participants obtain the same score and complete the quiz in the same amount of time, the system automatically applies a randomization process to determine the final ranking among those participants. No manual intervention is involved at any stage of the winner selection process, ensuring complete transparency and fairness.
7. The Top 5 participants, recommended to the Ministry of Defence for the issuance of e-invitations to attend the Independence Day Ceremony 2026 at the Red Fort, Delhi, along with one eligible companion (guardian/spouse/relative, excluding children below 5 years of age), may be required to provide the salutation, name (in Hindi and English), date of birth, mobile number, email ID, nationality, government-issued ID details (such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, or Driving Licence), and complete residential address of both the participant and the companion.
8. The participant should ensure that his/her MyGov profile is accurate and updated since the Department/ Ministry would use this for further communication. Non-furnishing of the information at the appropriate stage will render the selection null and void.
9. Discovery/detection/noticing of use of any unfair/spurious means/malpractices, including but not limited to impersonation, double participation etc., during the participation in the quiz, will result in the participation being declared null and void and hence, rejected. The organizers of the quiz competition or any agency acting on their behalf reserves the right in this regard.
10. Employees, directly or indirectly connected with organizing the quiz, are not eligible to participate in the quiz. This ineligibility also applies to their immediate family members.
11. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy & MyGov reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions of the competition at any time or cancel the competition as considered.
12. All disputes/ legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi only. Expenses incurred for this purpose will be borne by the parties themselves.
13. Ministry of New & Renewable Energy and MyGov will not accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, are late or incomplete or have not been transmitted due to computer error or any other error beyond the organizer’s reasonable control. Please note proof of submission of the entry is not proof of receipt of the same.
14. By participating in the quiz, the participant accepts the above-mentioned terms and conditions and agrees to abide by them, including any amendments or future updates
15. The terms and conditions henceforth shall be governed by Indian laws and the judgments of the Indian judicial system.
