In a span of six decades since India’s first Science Policy Resolution,1958, well-crafted STI policies have played a major role in helping the nation build a robust STI ecosystem and emerge as a leader in several branches of science, technology and innovation. India is constantly evolving and adapting to the changing national and international dynamics. The current pandemic catalysed the need for a new policy instrument that amalgamates profound and incremental approaches to prioritise and strategise across the STI landscape. Hence, the government of India (GOI) initiated the consultation process for India’s 5th STI Policy named as the Science, Technology and Innovation policy 2020 (STIP 2020). This policy aims to be truly evidence-driven, inclusive and bottom-up while encouraging stakeholder interaction at all levels. This quiz thus attempts to encourage public participation and awareness of the STI ecosystem. The participants will be quizzed on several aspects of S&T, in terms of India’s achievements, latest trends and policy interventions in this regard.
Gratification details: The top 5 winners would be appropriately awarded and felicitated, with their names being featured in the Policy Process Document that would be released along with STIP2020.
