BIS is the National Standard Body of India established under the BIS Act 2016 for the harmonious development of the activities of standardization, marking and quality certification of goods and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. BIS has its Headquarters at New Delhi and its 05 Regional Offices (ROs) are at Kolkata (Eastern), Chennai (Southern), Mumbai (Western), Chandigarh (Northern) and Delhi (Central).
Standards Clubs initiative started in 2021 by BIS has already made a significant impact, having been established in more than 8000 schools and colleges across the country. These clubs boast a membership of over 2 lakh enthusiastic students from science background, guided by dedicated science teachers from their respective schools as mentors. The student members of these Standards clubs engage in a variety of activities like Standards writing competition, Quiz competitions, debates, essay writing, and many more exciting activities aimed at Learning Science via Standards (LSVS).
On the occasion of its 77th Foundation Day, BIS is conducting a multilevel online quiz on ‘Science & Standards’ on MyGov platform for student members of School Standards Club. This Quiz competition will be conducted in 2 rounds: One at Regional level and other at national Level.
– This event will be an opportunity for all the participants to showcase their knowledge about Science, Quality & Standards and also compete for exciting prizes.
– The quiz will have 30 multiple choice questions in Hindi & English, which has to be completed by the participants within 30 minutes time duration.
Gratifications:
The first round i.e.RO level Quiz is scheduled on 9th of December 2023 and will have 200 winners from each RO i.e. total 1000 winners. Only these winners will then compete in the second round i.e. National Level Quiz. The proposed prizes for RO level Quiz are:
1) Top 25 performers will be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs. 5000 each.
2) Next 50 performers will be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs. 3000 each.
3) Next 75 performers will be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs. 2000 each.
4) Next 50 performers will be rewarded with a consolation prizes of Rs. 1000 each.
The second round i.e. National level Quiz is scheduled on 20th December and will have 100 winners. The proposed prizes for national level Quiz are:
1) Top 10 performers will be rewarded with a Cash Prize of Rs.10,000 each.
2) Next 20 performers will be rewarded with a Cash prize of Rs. 5,000 each.
3) Next 30 performers will be rewarded with a cash Prize of Rs. 3,000 each
4) Next 40 performers will get a consolation prizes of Rs. 2,000 each.
बीआईएस भारत का राष्ट्रीय मानक निकाय है जिसे बीआईएस अधिनियम 2016 के तहत वस्तुओं के मानकीकरण, अंकन और गुणवत्ता प्रमाणन की गतिविधियों के सामंजस्यपूर्ण विकास और उससे जुड़े या प्रासंगिक मामलों के लिए स्थापित किया गया है। बीआईएस का मुख्यालय नई दिल्ली में है और इसके 05 क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय (आरओ) कोलकाता (पूर्वी), चेन्नई (दक्षिणी), मुंबई (पश्चिमी), चंडीगढ़ (उत्तरी) और दिल्ली (मध्य) में हैं।
बीआईएस द्वारा 2021 में शुरू की गई स्टैंडर्ड क्लब पहल ने काफ़ी महत्वपूर्ण प्रभाव डाला है, जिसे देश भर के 8000 से अधिक स्कूलों और कॉलेजों में स्थापित किया गया है। इन क्लबों में विज्ञान पृष्ठभूमि के 2 लाख से अधिक छात्रों की सदस्यता है, जो उनके संबंधित स्कूलों के समर्पित विज्ञान शिक्षकों द्वारा मेंटर के रूप में निर्देशित होते हैं। इन मानक क्लबों के छात्र सदस्य मानक लेखन प्रतियोगिता, क्विज प्रतियोगिता, वाद-विवाद, निबंध लेखन जैसी विभिन्न गतिविधियों में भाग लेते हैं जिसका उद्देश्य मानकों के माध्यम से विज्ञान सीखना है ।
अपने 77वें स्थापना दिवस के अवसर पर, बीआईएस स्कूल स्टैंडर्ड्स क्लब के छात्र सदस्यों के लिए MyGov प्लेटफॉर्म पर ‘विज्ञान और मानक’ पर एक बहुस्तरीय ऑनलाइन क्विज़ आयोजित कर रहा है। यह क्विज़ प्रतियोगिता 2 राउंड में आयोजित की जाएगी: एक क्षेत्रीय स्तर पर और दूसरा राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर।
– यह कार्यक्रम सभी प्रतिभागियों के लिए विज्ञान, गुणवत्ता और मानकों के बारे में अपना ज्ञान प्रदर्शित करने और रोमांचक पुरस्कारों के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धा करने का एक अवसर होगा।
– क्विज़ में हिंदी और अंग्रेजी में 30 बहुविकल्पीय प्रश्न होंगे, जिन्हें प्रतिभागियों को 30 मिनट की समय अवधि के भीतर पूरा करना होगा।
पुरस्कारः
पहला दौर यानी क्षेत्रीय लेवल क्विज़ 9 दिसंबर 2023 को निर्धारित है और इसमें प्रत्येक क्षेत्र से 200 विजेता होंगे यानी कुल 1000 विजेता। ये विजेता ही दूसरे दौर यानी राष्ट्रीय स्तर की क्विज़ में प्रतिस्पर्धा करेंगे। क्षेत्रीय लेवल क्विज़ में प्रत्येक क्षेत्र के लिए प्रस्तावित पुरस्कार हैं:
1) शीर्ष 25 प्रतिभागियों में से प्रत्येक को 5000 रुपये के नकद पुरस्कार से पुरस्कृत किया जाएगा।
2) अगले 50 प्रतिभागियों में से प्रत्येक को 3000 रुपये के नकद पुरस्कार से पुरस्कृत किया जाएगा।
3) अगले 75 प्रतिभागियों को 2000 रुपये के नकद पुरस्कार से पुरस्कृत किया जाएगा।
4) अगले 50 प्रतिभागियों में प्रत्येक को 1000 रुपये के सांत्वना पुरस्कार से पुरस्कृत किया जाएगा।
दूसरा दौर यानी राष्ट्रीय स्तर का क्विज़ 20 दिसंबर को निर्धारित है और इसमें 100 विजेता होंगे। राष्ट्रीय स्तर के क्विज के लिए प्रस्तावित पुरस्कार हैं:
1) शीर्ष 10 प्रतिभागियों में से प्रत्येक को 10,000 रुपये के नकद पुरस्कार से पुरस्कृत किया जाएगा।
2) अगले 20 प्रतिभागियों को 5,000 रुपये के नकद पुरस्कार से पुरस्कृत किया जाएगा।
3) अगले 30 प्रतिभागियों में से प्रत्येक को 3,000 रुपये के नकद पुरस्कार से पुरस्कृत किया जाएगा
4) अगले 40 प्रतिभागियों को 2,000 रुपये का सांत्वना पुरस्कार मिलेगा।
1. This Quiz is only for student members of BIS Standards Clubs in Schools (Class 9th to 12th). / यह क्विज केवल स्कूलों में बीआईएस मानक क्लबों (कक्षा 9वीं से 12वीं) के छात्र सदस्यों के लिए है।
2. Quiz will start as soon as the participant clicks on the ‘Play Quiz’. / जैसे ही प्रतिभागी ‘प्ले क्विज़’ पर क्लिक करेगा, क्विज़ शुरू हो जाएगा।
3. Entries once submitted cannot be withdrawn. / एक बार सबमिट की गई प्रविष्टियां वापस नहीं ली जा सकतीं।
4. Participants may use a Calculator and rough sheet of paper. / प्रतिभागी कैलकुलेटर और कागज की रफ शीट का उपयोग कर सकते हैं।
5. Participants will be required to provide their name, email address, telephone number, and additional details as required by the entry form. By submitting their details and participating in the quiz, participants give consent to MyGov and Bureau of Indian Standards to use this information as required to facilitate the conduct of the quiz competition which may include confirmation of participant details. / प्रतिभागियों को प्रवेश पत्र के अनुसार अपना नाम, ईमेल पता, टेलीफोन नंबर और अतिरिक्त विवरण प्रदान करना आवश्यक होगा। अपना विवरण प्रस्तुत करके और क्विज़ में भाग लेकर, प्रतिभागी MyGov और भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो को क्विज़ प्रतियोगिता के संचालन को सुविधाजनक बनाने के लिए आवश्यकतानुसार इस जानकारी का उपयोग करने के लिए सहमति देते हैं, जिसमें प्रतिभागी विवरणों की पुष्टि शामिल हो सकती है।
6. Multiple entries from the same participant will not be accepted. / एक ही प्रतिभागी द्वारा एक से अधिक प्रविष्टियाँ स्वीकार नहीं की जाएंगी।
7. The criteria for selection of successful winners will be ‘Maximum Correct Answers in the Shortest Time’, subject to the stipulation of 30 questions attempt and 30 minutes. / सफल विजेताओं के चयन का मानदंड “कम से कम समय में अधिकतम सही उत्तर” होगा, जो 30 प्रश्नों के प्रयास और 30 मिनट की शर्त के अधीन होगा।
8. Bonafide documents (proof of identity, age, address and bank details) will be required to be submitted by the winners after announcement of the result of the quiz. Non-furnishing of the above Information/documents at appropriate stage will render the selection null and void. / क्विज के परिणाम की घोषणा के बाद विजेताओं को वास्तविक दस्तावेज (पहचान, आयु, पता और बैंक विवरण का प्रमाण) जमा करना होगा। उचित स्तर पर उपरोक्त जानकारी/दस्तावेज प्रस्तुत न करने पर चयन निरस्त हो जाएगा।
9. The same mobile number and same email ID cannot be used more than once for participation in the quiz. / क्विज़ में भाग लेने के लिए एक ही मोबाइल नंबर और एक ही ईमेल आईडी का एक से अधिक बार उपयोग नहीं किया जा सकता है।
10. Discovery/detection/noticing of use of any unfair/spurious means/malpractices, including but not limited to impersonation, double participation etc., during the participation in the quiz, will result in the participation being declared null and void and hence, rejected. The organizers of the quiz competition or any agency acting on their behalf reserves the right in this regard. / क्विज में भाग लेने के दौरान किसी भी अनुचित/नकली साधन/कदाचार के उपयोग की खोज/पता लगाना/देखना, जिसमें प्रतिरूपण, दोहरी भागीदारी आदि शामिल है, लेकिन इन्हीं तक सीमित नहीं है, के परिणामस्वरूप भागीदारी को अमान्य घोषित कर दिया जाएगा और इसलिए, अस्वीकार कर दिया जाएगा। क्विज प्रतियोगिता के आयोजक या उनकी ओर से कार्य करने वाली कोई भी एजेंसी इस संबंध में अधिकार सुरक्षित रखती है।
11. Employees, directly or indirectly connected with organizing the quiz, are not eligible to participate in the quiz. This ineligibility also applies to their immediate family members. / क्विज़ के आयोजन से प्रत्यक्ष या अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से जुड़े कर्मचारी क्विज़ में भाग लेने के पात्र नहीं हैं। यह अपात्रता उनके निकटतम परिवार के सदस्यों पर भी लागू होती है।
12. The Bureau of Indian Standards will disburse the winning amount/ rewards to the selected winner(s) after publishing the Winner Announcement Blog on blog.mygov.in / भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो, blog.mygov.in पर विजेता घोषणा ब्लॉग प्रकाशित करने के बाद चयनित विजेताओं को विजेता राशि/पुरस्कार वितरित करेगा।
13. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and MyGov reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions of the competition at any time or cancel the competition as considered. / अप्रत्याशित परिस्थितियों की स्थिति में, आयोजक किसी भी समय प्रतियोगिता के नियमों और शर्तों में संशोधन करने या प्रतियोगिता को रद्द करने का अधिकार सुरक्षित रखते हैं।
14. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and MyGov will not accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, are late, incomplete or have not been transmitted due to computer error or any other error beyond the organizer’s responsibility. / आयोजकों की जिम्मेदारी से परे खोई हुई, देर से, अपूर्ण या कंप्यूटर त्रुटि या किसी अन्य त्रुटि के कारण प्रेषित प्रविष्टियों के लिए आयोजकों की कोई ज़िम्मेदारी नहीं होगी।
15. The participants shall abide by all the terms and conditions of the quiz competition, including any amendments or further updates. / प्रतिभागियों को क्विज प्रतियोगिता के सभी नियमों और शर्तों का पालन करना होगा, जिसमें कोई भी संशोधन या आगे के अपडेट शामिल हैं।
16. The decision of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and MyGov on the Quiz shall be final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the same. / क्विज पर आयोजकों का निर्णय अंतिम और बाध्यकारी होगा और इसके संबंध में कोई पत्राचार नहीं किया जाएगा |
17. By entering the Quiz, the participant accepts and agrees to be bound by the above‑mentioned terms and conditions. / क्विज में प्रवेश करके, प्रतिभागी उपरोक्त नियमों और शर्तों से बाध्य होने के लिए स्वीकार करता है और सहमत होता है।
18. The following terms and conditions henceforth shall be governed by Indian laws and the judgments of the Indian judicial system. / निम्नलिखित नियम और शर्तें अब से भारतीय कानूनों और भारतीय न्याय प्रणाली के निर्णयों द्वारा शासित होंगी।
