About Quiz
In tribute to the countless lives lost and the millions displaced during the Partition of India, the Government of India observes 14 August every year as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day (Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas). The observance serves as a solemn reminder of the pain, suffering, and resilience associated with one of the most defining chapters in India’s history. In this spirit, the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with MyGov is organising a National Quiz Competition from 1 August to 15 September 2026 to encourage citizens, particularly the youth, to deepen their understanding of the Partition, honour its survivors, and reflect on the enduring values of national unity, social harmony, and collective remembrance.
Gratification: E-Certificates will be issued to all participants.
भारत के विभाजन के दौरान असंख्य लोगों द्वारा अपने प्राणों की आहुति देने तथा लाखों लोगों के विस्थापित होने की स्मृति में, भारत सरकार प्रतिवर्ष 14 अगस्त को विभाजन विभीषिका स्मृति दिवस के रूप में मनाती है। यह दिवस भारत के इतिहास के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण अध्यायों में से एक से जुड़ी पीड़ा, कष्ट और अदम्य साहस की गंभीर स्मृति के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इसी भावना के साथ, संस्कृति मंत्रालय, माईगव (MyGov) के सहयोग से, 1 अगस्त से 15 सितंबर 2026 तक राष्ट्रीय प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन कर रहा है, ताकि नागरिकों, विशेष रूप से युवाओं, को विभाजन के इतिहास की अपनी समझ को और गहरा करने, इसके जीवित बचे लोगों का सम्मान करने तथा राष्ट्रीय एकता, सामाजिक सद्भाव और सामूहिक स्मृति के स्थायी मूल्यों पर चिंतन करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जा सके।
पुरस्कार: सभी प्रतिभागियों को ई–प्रमाण पत्र जारी किए जाएंगे।
Terms and Conditions
1. All Indian Citizens can participate in the quiz. / सभी भारतीय नागरिक इस क्विज़ में भाग ले सकते हैं।
2. An individual is permitted to participate only once in each of the quizzes. / प्रत्येक प्रतिभागी को प्रत्येक क्विज़ में केवल एक बार भाग लेने की अनुमति होगी।
3. One mobile number & one email ID cannot be used by more than one participant for one quiz at a time. / एक ही मोबाइल नंबर और एक ही ई-मेल आईडी का उपयोग एक समय में एक क्विज़ के लिए एक से अधिक प्रतिभागियों द्वारा नहीं किया जा सकता।
4. Discovery/detection/noticing of use of any unfair/spurious means/ malpractices, including but not limited to impersonation, double participation etc. during the participation in the quiz, will result in the participation being declared null and void and hence, rejected. The organizers of the quiz competition or any agency acting on their behalf reserves the right in this regard. / यदि प्रतिभागी द्वारा किसी भी प्रकार की अनुचित/भ्रामक गतिविधियों जैसे कि छल, नकल, पहचान छिपाना, दोहरी भागीदारी आदि का पता चलता है, तो उस प्रतिभागी की भागीदारी को अमान्य कर दिया जाएगा। क्विज़ के आयोजक या उनकी ओर से कार्यरत किसी भी एजेंसी को इस संबंध में निर्णय लेने का पूरा अधिकार है।
5. Organizers will not accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, are late or incomplete or have not been transmitted due to computer error or any other error beyond the organizer’s reasonable control. Please note proof of submission of the entry is not proof of receipt of the same. / आयोजक उन एंट्रीज़ के लिए कोई ज़िम्मेदारी स्वीकार नहीं करेंगे जो खो गई हैं, देर से जमा की है या अधूरी हैं या कंप्यूटर की ग़लती या किसी अन्य त्रुटि के कारण ट्रांसमिट नहीं हुई हैं, जो आयोजक के उचित नियंत्रण के बाहर हैं। कृपया ध्यान दें कि ऐंट्री सबमिट करने का प्रमाण इसकी प्राप्ति का प्रमाण नहीं है।
6. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, MyGov reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions of the competition at any time or cancel the competition as considered. This includes the ability to change these terms and conditions, for the avoidance of doubt. Participants are expected to check of the website for all the updates. / अप्रत्याशित परिस्थितियाँ होने पर, माईगव के पास प्रतियोगिता के नियमों और शर्तों में किसी भी समय संशोधन करने या प्रतियोगिता को रद्द करने का अधिकार सुरक्षित है। इसमें संदेह से बचने के लिए इन नियम और शर्तों को बदलने की क्षमता शामिल है। प्रतिभागियों से अपेक्षा की जाती है कि वे सभी अपडेट के लिए वेबसाइट देखें।
7. The decision of organizers on the Quiz shall be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the same. / क्विज़ पर आयोजक का निर्णय अंतिम और बाध्यकारी होगा और इसके संबंध में कोई पत्राचार नहीं किया जाएगा।
8. All disputes/ legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi only. Expenses incurred for this purpose will be borne by the parties themselves. / सभी विवाद/कानूनी शिकायतें केवल दिल्ली के अधिकार क्षेत्र के अधीन हैं। इस उद्देश्य के लिए किए गए खर्चे पार्टियों द्वारा खुद वहन किए जाएंगे।
9. By participating in the Quiz, the participants shall abide by all the terms and conditions of the quiz competition, including any amendments or further updates. / क्विज़ में भाग लेने से, प्रतिभागी क्विज़ प्रतियोगिता के सभी नियमों और शर्तों का पालन करेंगे, जिसमें कोई भी संशोधन या आगे का अपडेट शामिल है।
