The Climate Change bootcamp covers the topics atmospheric cycles of evaporation, condensation and how these are intimately linked with the hydrological cycles of rainfall and runoff. It also covered topics on the structure of the atmosphere, observations of rainfall, temperature, humidity, pressure, wind and more. It illustrated how rising temperature can affect rainfall, a crucial component of climate. The theme presented the assessment of climate change over the Indian region. It also focused on how to obtain data sources, interpret and analyse the data using online tools and also by using observational techniques to understand the scientific aspects involved. Thus focused on observations and facts and also presented the future scope of climate change.
This bootcamp I on climate change was delivered by Dr. Milind Mujumdar from Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune. Watch Video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yq8zdvZiHqA
