Observed annually on January 28, Data Privacy Day raises awareness about the importance of protecting personal data in a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem. This year’s theme, “Be a Privacy Ambassador”, encourages both citizens and organizations to take active responsibility for privacy through informed decisions and everyday actions.
Aligned with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, Data Privacy Day 2026 shifts the focus from awareness to implementation. As India moves from policy to practice under the DPDP framework, this campaign highlights practical steps that strengthen individual privacy habits and build a strong organizational privacy culture.
To mark this momentum, DSCI is launching Data Privacy Quiz on MyGov to help you learn about privacy best practices, understand the DPDP Act, and win exciting prizes. Stay informed and take proactive steps to become a Privacy Ambassador.

हर वर्ष 28 जनवरी को मनाया जाने वाला डेटा प्राइवेसी दिवस तेजी से बदलती डिजिटल दुनिया में व्यक्तिगत डेटा को सुरक्षित रखने के महत्व के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाता है। इस वर्ष की थीम “बी अ प्राइवेसी एम्बेसडर” नागरिकों और संगठनों, दोनों को सूचित निर्णयों और दैनिक कार्यों के माध्यम से प्राइवेसी की जिम्मेदारी सक्रिय रूप से निभाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करती है।
भारत के डिजिटल व्यक्तिगत डेटा संरक्षण (DPDP) अधिनियम के अनुरूप, डेटा प्राइवेसी दिवस 2026 का मुख्य उद्देश्य अब केवल जागरूकता तक सीमित न रहकर इसके कार्यान्वयन (implementation) पर है| जैसे–जैसे भारत DPDP ढांचे के तहत ‘नीति से व्यवहार’ (policy to practice) की ओर बढ़ रहा है, यह अभियान उन व्यावहारिक कदमों पर प्रकाश डालता है जो व्यक्तिगत प्राइवेसी की आदतों को मजबूत करते हैं और एक सुदृढ़ संगठनात्मक प्राइवेसी संस्कृति का निर्माण करते हैं।
इस पहल को आगे बढ़ाते हुए, DSCI – MyGov पर डेटा प्राइवेसी क्विज़ लॉन्च कर रहा है ताकि आपको प्राइवेसी की बेस्ट प्रैक्टिस के बारे में जानने, DPDP एक्ट को समझने और रोमांचक इनाम जीतने में मदद मिल सके। अपडेटेड रहें और प्राइवेसी एंबेसडर बनने के लिए एक्टिव कदम उठाएं।

Gratification Details/ पुरस्कार विवरण:
– Top 5 winners will receive ₹4,000 each along with a winner’s certificate / टॉप 5 विजेताओं को ₹4,000 प्रत्येक के साथ एक विनर सर्टिफिकेट मिलेगा।
– Every participant will receive a e-certificate of participation / प्रत्येक प्रतिभागी को ई-सर्टिफिकेट प्रदान किया जाएगा।
Terms and Conditions
1. Quiz is open for all Indian Citizens. / सभी भारतीय नागरिक इस क्विज में भागीदारी ले सकते हैं।
2. Quiz will start as soon as the participant clicks on the ‘Play Quiz’. / ‘प्ले क्विज़’ पर क्लिक करते ही क्विज़ शुरू हो जाएगा।
3. The quiz is available in both English and Hindi. / क्विज़ हिंदी और अंग्रेज़ी दोनों भाषाओं में उपलब्ध है।
4. Multiple entries from the same participant will not be accepted. / एक ही प्रतिभागी द्वारा कई प्रविष्टियाँ स्वीकार नहीं की जाएँगी ।
5. It is a time-bound quiz: you will have 300 seconds to answer 10 questions. / यह एक समय-सीमित क्विज़ है: आपको 10 सवालों के जवाब देने के लिए 300 सेकंड मिलेंगे।
6. Participants will be required to provide their contact details. By submitting their details and participating in the quiz, participants give consent to MyGov and DSCI to use this information as required to facilitate the conduct of the quiz competition which may include confirmation of participant details. / प्रतिभागियों को अपना संपर्क विवरण प्रदान करना आवश्यक होगा। अपना विवरण जमा करके और क्विज़ में भाग लेकर, प्रतिभागी MyGov और DSCI को क्विज़ प्रतियोगिता के संचालन को सुविधाजनक बनाने के लिए आवश्यकतानुसार इस जानकारी का उपयोग करने के लिए सहमति देते हैं, जिसमें प्रतिभागी विवरण की पुष्टि शामिल हो सकती है।
7. DSCI will disburse the winning amount and e-certificate to the selected winner(s) after publishing the Winner Announcement Blog on blog.mygov.in / MyGov के ब्लॉग पर विजेता घोषणा के बाद ही DSCI विजेताओं की पुरस्कार राशि और ई-प्रमाण पत्र का वितरण करेगा। ।
8. Once an entry is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn. / एक बार प्रविष्टि जमा होने के बाद उसे वापस नहीं लिया जा सकता है।
9. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the DSCI reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the competition at any time or cancel the competition as considered. / अप्रत्याशित परिस्थितियों में, DSCI किसी भी समय नियम और शर्तों में बदलाव कर सकता है या प्रतियोगिता को रद्द कर सकता है।
10. The participants shall abide by all the terms and conditions of the quiz competition, including any amendments or further updates. / प्रतिभागियों को प्रतियोगिता के सभी नियम और शर्तों का पालन करना होगा।
11. The decision of DSCI on the quiz shall be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the same. / DSCI का क्विज़ पर निर्णय अंतिम होगा, और इस संबंध में कोई पत्राचार नहीं किया जाएगा।
12. All disputes/ legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi only. Expenses incurred for this purpose will be borne by the parties themselves. / सभी विवाद/कानूनी शिकायतें केवल दिल्ली के क्षेत्राधिकार में होंगी।
13. Organizers will not accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, are late or incomplete or have not been transmitted due to computer error or any other error beyond the organizer’s reasonable control. Please note proof of submission of the entry is not proof of receipt of the same. / आयोजक किसी भी प्रकार की खोई हुई, देर से या अपूर्ण प्रविष्टियों के लिए ज़िम्मेदार नहीं होंगे।
14. The terms and conditions henceforth shall be governed by Indian laws and the judgments of the Indian judicial system. / यह नियम और शर्तें भारतीय कानून ं द्वारा नियंत्रित होंगी और भारतीय न्यायिक व्यवस्था के निर्णयों के अधीन होंगी।
