Substance use, the excessive and addictive nonmedical use of drugs, leads to severe social, psychological, and physical issues. It has become a serious societal issue, leading to the deterioration of individuals’ health. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE), Government of India, launched the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) on 15th August 2020 to combat drug demand. As the nodal ministry for drug demand reduction, it coordinates various initiatives, including prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, aftercare, public information dissemination, and community awareness. NMBA initially targeted 272 vulnerable districts and has expanded nationwide, reaching over 19+ crore individuals, including 06+ crore youth, 04+ crore women, and 5.03+ lakh educational institutions. As NMBA is entering into its sixth year, the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment in collaboration with MyGov is organizing a quiz competition.
MoSJE and MyGov invite citizens to participate in 5 Varsh, 1 Sankalp – Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Quiz. Each participant of the quiz shall be rewarded with an e-certificate.
Gratification
The 5 Varsh 1 Sankalp – Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Quiz is the first stage of a three-level national competition organized by the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment. From this quiz, 3,500 participants will be selected to write an essay on the themes given by the Department. Out of them, 200 participants will be invited to New Delhi for the final round. From these, the top 20 winners will get a fully sponsored educational trip to a border defence area.
1. The Quiz is being organised by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India in collaboration with MyGov.
2. Although the Quiz is open to all Indian citizens, only youth aged 18-29 will be considered for the selection for the next stage of the competition, which will be an essay writing competition.
3. This is a timed quiz with 20 questions to be answered in 10 minutes (600 seconds)
4. These questions will be based on Substance Use and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan of the Ministry of Social Justice &Empowerment
5. The quiz will start when the participant clicks the “Play Quiz” button.
6. You will be required to provide your name, email address, and telephone number. By submitting your contact details, you give consent to these details being used for the Quiz.
7. One Participant can participate only once.
8. Out of all participants, 3500 individuals will be shortlisted based on the quiz performance. These shortlisted participants will automatically move to the Essay Writing Competition on the MyGov Innovate Platform.
9. Organizers will not accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, late, incomplete, or have not been transmitted due to computer error or any other error beyond the organizer’s reasonable control.
10. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, organizers reserve the right to amend or withdraw the Quiz at any time. To avoid doubt, this includes the right to amend these terms and conditions.
11. The Participant shall abide by all the rules and regulations of participating in the Quiz from time to time.
12. Organisers reserve the right to disqualify or refuse participation to any participant if they deem the participation or association of any participant to be detrimental to the Quiz or the Organisers or partners of the Quiz. The registrations shall be void if the information received by the Organizers is illegible, incomplete, damaged, false, or erroneous.
13. Organiser’s decision on the Quiz shall be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the same.
14. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Indian Judiciary.
15. By participating in the Quiz, the participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, mentioned above.
