About Quiz

The Income Tax Act, 2025 marks a historic milestone in India’s direct taxation framework by replacing the Income Tax Act, 1961 with a clearer, simpler, and more modern law. Designed to reduce complexity, enhance transparency, and improve ease of compliance, the new Act represents a significant step towards a taxpayer-friendly and technology-enabled tax system.

Building on decades of tax reforms, the Government of India has introduced the Income Tax Act, 2025 to make income tax laws easier to understand and implement for citizens, businesses, and professionals alike. The new legislation focuses on simplification, clarity of provisions, and improved taxpayer services, while strengthening voluntary compliance.

To raise awareness about these important reforms and encourage citizens to engage with the new tax framework, the Income Tax Department, in collaboration with MyGov is hosting the Quiz on the Income Tax Act 2025

This quiz provides an opportunity for citizens, students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and taxpayers to test their knowledge, understand the key features of the Income Tax Act, 2025, and appreciate its role in building a transparent, efficient, and citizen-centric taxation system.

Participate in the quiz, enhance your understanding, and be a part of India’s journey towards a simpler, smarter, and more inclusive direct taxation.

Gratification:

1.) The top 10 winners will receive a cash prize of ₹10,000 each.

2.) The next 20 winners will receive a cash prize of ₹5,000 each.

3.) The subsequent 50 winners will receive a cash prize of ₹3,000 each.

4.) All participants will be awarded an e-certificate of participation.

Terms and Conditions

1) The Quiz is open to all Indian citizens.

2) The quiz will start as soon as the participant clicks on the ‘Play Quiz’ button.

3) The quiz will consist of 10 questions, to be answered in 300 seconds. There will be no negative marking.

4) In case of any discrepancy or error in a question presented in a language other than English, the English version of the question shall be treated as final and binding.

5) Participation outside of the designated time will not be considered.

6) Participants need to ensure their MyGov profile is updated for further communication. An incomplete profile will not be eligible to become the Winner.

7) Each participant shall be permitted to play the quiz only once, either through a registered mobile number or an email ID. The same mobile number and email ID shall not be used more than once for participation.

8) In cases where a participant has played using both a mobile number and an email ID, only the one entry submitted shall be considered valid and eligible for the winner selection process.

9) Income Tax Department and MyGov has the right to modify or discontinue the quiz at any moment in the event of unforeseen events. This includes the ability to change these terms and conditions, for the avoidance of doubt.

10) Participants must provide their name, email address, date of birth, correspondence address, and mobile number. By submitting their details, participants give consent to these details being used for the purpose of the Quiz.

11) The organizers reserves all rights to disqualify or refuse the participation of any participant if they deem participation or association of any participant detrimental to the quiz. The participation shall be void if the received information is illegible, incomplete, damaged, false, or erroneous.

12) Income Tax Department and MyGov will not accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, are late or incomplete or have not been transmitted due to computer error or any other error beyond the organizer’s reasonable control. Please note proof of submission of the entry is not proof of receipt of the same. 

13) Employees of Income Tax Department and MyGov or employees directly or indirectly connected with the hosting of the quiz are not eligible to participate in the quiz. This ineligibility also applies to their immediate family members.

14) The Winners Selection will be conducted through a system-generated randomization method to ensure fairness and transparency. All participants who meet the mentioned quiz winning criteria, including all correct answers and submission within the stipulated time-frame, will be included in a centralized pool of eligible entries. Winners will be selected solely through an automated random selection process.

15) Organizer’s decision on the Quiz shall be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the same.

16) Participants need to have regular checks on the content for all the updates.

17) After successful completion, the participant could auto-download a digital participation certificate recognizing their participation and completion.

18) By participating in the Quiz, the participants shall abide by all the terms and conditions of the quiz competition, including any amendments or further updates.

19) All disputes/ legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi only. Expenses incurred for this purpose will be borne by the parties themselves. 

20) The terms and conditions henceforth shall be governed by Indian laws and the judgments of the Indian judicial system.
